Q&A with Mark Noble
We are delighted to announce that Hawes & Curtis is the official tailor to West Ham United Football Club. The new sponsorship deal has occurred at an extremely exciting time, with West Ham United’s move from the Boleyn Ground to the iconic London Stadium on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
We caught up with West Ham United captain, Mark Noble, who is the Club’s longest serving player. Since the talented midfielder made his debut for the Club in 2004, he has played more Premier League games for West Ham than any other player.
Here, Mark Noble joins us to talk exclusively about football, fashion and the new West Ham formalwear.
Q. Who is the best dressed member of the West Ham team and why?
A. Me! I’m only joking. I think James Collins dresses really well. We have similar taste in clothes and we both like looking smart and wearing shirts, ties and suits.
Q. If you were not a footballer, what would you be doing instead?
A. If I weren’t a footballer I like to think that I would be successful in whatever field I chose. I didn’t really enjoy school. When I was younger I did work experience at my dad’s friend’s tire company, but it wasn’t for me.
Q. What do you look for in a suit?
A. Fit. A good suit needs to be properly tailored. I like wearing fitted suits.
Q. Why is it so important for your team to look their best?
A. It is really important that the team looks smart and feels great because we are extremely proud to represent West Ham United Football Club. What we wear reflects who we are and we should always showcase the Club in the best possible light. The move to the massive 60,000-seater London Stadium has attracted a lot of press interest so we need to look our very best.
Q. What do you think of the new official West Ham United formalwear from Hawes & Curtis?
A. I love the new official formalwear. The suits are contemporary and well-tailored. The shirts are excellent quality and the accessories and shoes look really smart.
Q. You have always played for West Ham, would you consider playing for anyone else?
A. I would never consider playing for anyone else! West Ham is my local club and I have played for them since I was 17. I love this football club and I have signed another five year contract.
