From the Royal Windsor Horse Show to Wimbledon, Hawes & Curtis picks out key sporting events this summer.
Royal Windsor Horse Show (13/05/2015 - 17/05/2015)
The Royal Windsor Horse Show is the UK’s largest outdoor equestrian event with over 3000 horses and ponies competing. It is set in the stunning private grounds of Windsor Castle and is host to International Show Jumping, Driving, Dressage and Endurance Competitions.
HM The Queen is the show’s patron and often visits to watch her horses compete. The event is in its 72nd year and displays this year include The Musical Drive of The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, The DAKS Pony Club Mounted Games and The Shetland Pony Grand National.

What to wear
Smart/ casual attire such as a men's blazer, formal shirt and chinos are appropriate for this event. There is only a strict dress code if you want to enter the Members Enclosure; gentlemen are requested to wear a jacket and tie and strictly no denim.
BMW PGA Championship - European Tour (20/05/2015 -24/05/2015)
The BMW PGA Championship is one of the year’s most eagerly anticipated sporting and social occasion, hosted at the Wentworth Club, Surrey. Founded in 1955, the annual men’s professional golf tournament has showcased some of the finest golfing talent. This year, defending champion Rory Mcllroy will be amongst many of the biggest names in golf including Europe’s victorious Ryder Cup Team.

What to wear
Smart/ casual dress is recommended and sensible, men's shoes should be worn. As this is an outdoor event, make sure you layer up with a jumper and a lightweight, weather resistant jacket. Denim is prohibited.
Vitality World Triathlon (30/05/2015- 31/05/2015)
Established in 2009, the Vitality World Triathlon London is one of the world’s leading triathlon events. Set in iconic Hyde Park, the event has attracted the best triathletes as part of the ITU World Series as well as thousands of recreational triathletes from across the globe. It is one of only two legacy events from the 2012 Olympic Games still open to public participation.

What to wear
There is no dress code for this event, so a comfortable, relaxed outfit such as a polo shirt, casual shoes, a jumper and chinos are appropriate. As this is set in Hyde Park, a gilet or lightweight knits are recommended.
Wimbledon (29/06/2015 - 12/07/2015)
It wouldn’t be summer without Pimm’s, strawberries and cream, and world class tennis. The world’s most prestigious tennis tournament has been held at the All England Club in Wimbledon, London since 1877, and it is once again upon us from Monday June 29 to Sunday July 12.

What to wear
Only the competitors have a strict dress code, spectators typically arrive in casual wear. As British weather is notoriously changeable, be sure to wear plenty of layers and take clothing for all conditions.
Guards Polo (May 2015 - September 2015)
From May to September, Polo season in the UK will be in full swing. The Guards Polo Club was founded on the 25th January 1955 with HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, as president. Situated within the stunning grounds of the Great Park at Windsor, Egham, Surrey, the club is the largest in Europe.

What to Wear
The dress code is smart/ casual. In the Clubhouse, gentlemen are advised to wear shirts, chino shorts to the knee, chinos or jeans. In the Royal Box, it is requested that gentlemen wear a formal shirt, lounge suit, jacket or blazer with trousers. Strictly no beach wear.
