Riders step out in style at London Bike Show
Britain’s newest professional cycling team, BIKE Channel Canyon, took centre stage at the London Bike Show wearing sharp suits, shirts and accessories by official tailor Hawes & Curtis. The UK continental squad launched at ExCel London during the UK’s largest cycling show on Sunday 19th of February.
Hawes & Curtis has sponsored Bike Channel Canyon during its current SS17 campaign ‘Great British Design since 1913’ in order to show its support for the British cycling squad and to showcase the brand’s phenomenal heritage and product design.
Hawes & Curtis is very proud to be the official tailor to the team. The quintessentially British brand based on Jermyn Street specialises in fine tailoring and accessories. The team will be wearing slim fit navy suits, white cotton poplin shirts made from the finest 2 ply 100s cotton and specially made silk ties and pocket squares.
The 15-strong team appeared on stage alongside one of the custom-painted Canyon Aeroad CF SLX bikes they will ride this season. They answered questions posed by compere Jason Bradbury before heading down to the Canyon stand to meet fans and discuss their hopes for the campaign ahead.
Bike Channel Canyon was founded by Tim Elverson, in partnership with world-renowned bike manufacturer Canyon and Sky television channel BIKE, and will race at UCI Continental (Europe Tour) level in 2017.
Tim Elverson said: “We had a great day. It was fantastic to finally launch the team and meet some of our supporters. It is getting really exciting now.”
